- Short Bio
One of twins born in 480 AD, she remained close in soul and education to her brother, Benedict. She chose to spend her life in contemplation with her community in Plombariola, the first ‘Benedictine’ convent. Famously, she was known for seeing Benedict only once a year. She died 3 days after her last meeting, when her prayer for a storm was answered so that she could spend her final nights in discussion with her brother.
